Bergamot Oil is commonly used in cosmetics as top notes of perfumes. It also cleans the scalp and adds shine to hair due to its antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. It is even used as flavouring in Earl Grey Tea.
Bergamot oil got its name from an Italian town, Bergamo, where it became famous, even though it is believed to have originated in Southeast Asia.
Skin & Health
Great for oily skin as it helps balance sebum production.
Treats acne, eczema and other skin issues due to its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.
Bergamot oil can be mixed with a carrier oil and massaged on your stomach to help with indigestion and bloating.
You can reduce stress, anxiety and the feeling of depression with Bergamot aromatherapy.
Hair
The antimicrobials in Bergamot oil cleans and soothes the scalp, while the antioxidants add shine, which is why it makes a great addition to your shampoo and conditioner, and in turn also promotes hair growth.
If you’re wondering how Bergamot Oil helps your hair grow, it revives hair bulbs, stimulates blood flow in the scalp, which then delivers more oxygen and nutrients to the hair follicles.

For hair that looks and feels great, give this recommended recipe a try: Mix Coconut Oil with a few drops of Bergamot Oil or half a bottle of bergamot essence, half a bottle of Bay Rum, and one ampule of Placenta. Apply this mixture to the scalp… can also be left on overnight.
